Thanks to a targeted marketing strategy and the support of one of the most trusted names in access control solutions, Pickersgill-Kaye is making significant inroads into new international markets with a range of locks to address the challenges facing critical infrastructure sites.

Pickersgill-Kaye's ongoing export drive for its High Security Multipoint Locking Systems has been given a major boost since the company's acquisition by ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions. There has been strong interest from worldwide markets, which has led to a breakthrough in Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions.

ASSA ABLOY's high performance, blast and ballistic resistant doors, coupled with Pickersgill-Kaye's locking products, offers customers a complete security access solution for the protection of high profile buildings at risk of attack. Managing Director, Simon Teagle, said: "Being part of ASSA ABLOY opens opportunities for Pickersgill-Kaye.

"We can work closely with our sister businesses locally who have established routes to market. We are starting to see product sales in new markets with a strong pipeline of enquiries that have resulted in systems already being supplied to customers in these regions."

  RAM RAIDERS ARE LOCKED OUT
  Philip Prigg

A combination of Pickersgill-Kaye's multipoint locks and Warrior Doors have foiled a ram raid attack on a jeweller's.

The dramatic incident featured a BMW 5 Series repeatedly ramming the front of the jeweller's shop in Birmingham but unable to smash a way through.

Warrior Doors managing director, Brett Barratt, said: "The whole event took less than three minutes, and the doors and shop front withstood the attack, keeping the shop owner, his family and two customers safe."

Available in both surface mounted and mortice versions, our portfolio of multi and single point locks are both designed and manufactured in the UK. Click here to watch a video of the incident......
